Big names drop points as race at the top tightens
Half of the top six dropped points this past weekend as the fight for the European places takes yet another interesting twist.
The 289th ‘S’ derby serves up an all-time classic
There is only one place to start this week and that’s at the Generali Arena and the 289th Prague ‘S’ derby between Sparta and Slavia.
Sub-zero temperatures, snow, melting ice and a flurry of 1-0 wins
Though temperatures were decidedly frosty, the race for the European places heated up this weekend as Slavia Prague and Slovan Liberec both won, while Sigma Olomouc, Sparta Prague and league-leaders Viktoria Plzeň all dropped points.
Week 15: Olomouc beat Sparta after 19 years as Plzeň fail to win for the first time
Round 15 of the 2017-18 HET Liga season got underway on Friday night with Mladá Boleslav trip to the Stadion Juliska to take on Dukla Prague. The central Bohemian side started badly, conceding two goals in the opening five minutes as first Jakub Podaný and then Uroš Djuranovič both fired past Kamran Agajev.
Record Breakers: Slavia Prague now unbeaten in thirty-four games unbeaten
After beating Sparta Prague last week in the ‘S’ derby, Slavia matched their eternal rival’s Czech record of going thirty-three games unbeaten. This weekend, they had the chance to make that record their own when they travelled to Zlín in a battle of Europa League sides.
Week 7: Slavia win the derby while Sigma Olomouc and Jablonec both net five
Slavia and Sparta Prague met at Eden Arena on Sunday night in the 288th edition of the 'S' derby. The game is always important, but with both sides trailing league-leaders Viktoria Plzen, neither team could really afford to lose in front of the television cameras.
Matchweek 6 Round-Up: Rosický Starts And Scores In The League After Seventeen Years
Tomáš Rosický last started a game for Sparta Prague on December 1st 2000, in the ‘S’ derby no less. His last goal came nearly a month prior, when he scored the only goal of the game (past Petr Cech no less) to help Sparta to a 1-0 victory over Chmel Blšany.
1st round: Sparta draw with Bohemians, Slavia beat Teplice
The biggest surprise of the first round was draw 1:1 in the match of Sparta and Bohemians. Team of Andrey Stramaccioni hesitated right at the starting match, while Slavia smashed Teplice on the home ground and Plzeň beat up Dukla.

The fourth Slavia title, second place for Plzeň and third place for Sparta. That is the summary of the season 2016/2017. The teams Hradec Králové and Příbram are relegated to the second league where they will replace Baník Ostrava and Sigma Olomouc that are promoted to the first league.
30th round: Slavia celebrate the title. Boleslav will play the European League
Slavia players beat Brno in the last league match 4:0. After this wining they started to celebrate the title after eight years. They won the league with two points ahead of Viktoria Plzeň, whilst Viktoria's 2:0 wining over Jihlava was not enough. Mladá Boleslav kept fourth place in the league table and by this place they guaranteed their participation in the European League even if they lost the game 4:0 against Liberec.
28th round: The battle for the title is still open
Both candidates for the title hesitated in the 28th round.
27th round: Plzeň hesitated with Jablonec and lost the lead
The Plzeň surprisingly lost two points in the game with Jablonec and their lead is in danger before last three games of the season. Team Slavia is now in lead with two points ahead after wining against Bohemians. Sparta ensured their third position after 1:0 win in Liberec.
26th round: Slavia lost two points in Jablonec, Plzeň lead the top of the league
Slavia played draw 1:1 on the home ground with Jablonec, what had opened chances for Plzeň, who beat Dukla 2:0 and moved forward to the top of the league.
25th round: Sparta broke the curse with Plzeň, Slavia lead the top league
Sparta have broken a big curse in the 25th round. After five unsuccessful attempts they managed to overtake Plzeň, which they beat 2:0 at home playfield. This helped Slavia, who won 2:0 in Slovácko and moved to the first place of the score sheet table.
24th round: Jihlava surprised Sparta, Slavia won in Hradec
The biggest surprise of 24th round was match in Jihlava in which the home team surprised Sparta and won 1:0. Vysočina´s coach Josef Jinoch had the best premiere he could have in his new post.
